The creator of this seat is the phenomenal Canadian kayaker, world champion and participant in five Olympic Games, David Ford. In addition to being the designer of two highly successful boats for Galasport - the SONIC and the SONIC BOOM, David wanted a seat for his boat that was simply "ordinarily comfortable". In fact David's design has been so successful, that this model of seat is in most Galasport boats in various sizes.
The seat is produced in two material versions : Diolen and Carbon/aramid.
